It was winter break on December when I took a solo train trip from Bristol to Coventry, to visit an old friend who studied there. We decided to take a day trip to a dainty, mid-century town called Stratford-upon-Avon.
The buildings were unique (Tudor houses), humble and very different from the edifices we're so used to see. It was a fresh looking town, mostly were locals, it felt almost intruding coming from someone who is used to the university cities, where there are mostly internationals.
